Drivers Scout: one search for WSR’s iRacing scouting

The scouting tool we built for WSR: a crawler collects iRacing driver data and a search interface returns it as one structured list the team can compare, while the selection stays with the team.

WSR scouts iRacing drivers. Until now that meant collecting driver information by hand from wherever it could be found. We built Drivers Scout so the team can search once and review one structured list.

The need

WSR needed one place to search for iRacing drivers and compare what it found, instead of assembling the same details candidate by candidate.

What we built

  • A crawler that collects driver data and returns it in a structured form.
  • A search interface over that data, so a query returns a list rather than a pile of pages.
  • Results laid out for review, so candidates can be compared side by side.

The team decides

The tool supports research. WSR’s team evaluates the information and remains responsible for driver selection and any follow-up. Drivers Scout is delivered and in use.
