Privacy Policy

This website, www.be-obliq.com, is operated by AR Media Solutions, Lugano, Switzerland, under its OBLIQ brand. AR Media Solutions is the controller of the personal data described in this policy under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies to visitors in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We collect only what a specific interaction needs. In each case the purpose and the legal basis are as follows.

• Project enquiries (contact form): your first and last name, email address, company if you give it, the project type, an optional budget range, and your message. We use these to answer your enquiry and prepare a first conversation. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Job applications (careers form): your name, email address, the position, your introduction, an optional link, your preferred collaboration type, and an optional CV in PDF. We use these to assess your application and contact you about it. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into an employment or service contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); Swiss law additionally limits processing to data that concerns your suitability for the role (Art. 328b of the Code of Obligations).
• Email you send us: the content of your message, your address, and the usual email metadata, used to handle your request. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) or our legitimate interest in correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Technical data when you visit: our hosting provider records connection data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and browser and device information in server logs, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Providing your data is voluntary. The fields marked as required on a form are the minimum we need to respond; without them we cannot handle the enquiry or application. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

This website sets no cookies. It stores one preference in your browser's local storage: your choice of the dark or light theme, under the key obliq-theme. That value never leaves your device and is strictly necessary for the site to remember the setting you chose, so no consent is required. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Because we use no advertising, tracking, or other non-essential cookies, the site shows no cookie banner. Should that change, we will ask for your consent before any such cookie is set.

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure loading performance. Neither service uses cookies or stores your IP address. Visitors are counted using a short-lived hash that cannot be turned back into a person, and the reports we see are aggregated. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and keeping it fast (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We work with a small number of providers who process data on our behalf, under contracts that bind them to our instructions and to appropriate security measures.

• Vercel Inc., USA: hosting, content delivery, server logs, Web Analytics, and Speed Insights.
• Formspree Inc., USA: delivery of contact form and careers form submissions to our mailboxes, including any attached CV.
• Our email provider, which stores the mailboxes that receive enquiries and applications.

Both Vercel and Formspree are based in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area, we rely on the provider's certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its Swiss extension where available, and otherwise on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses with the additions required by Swiss law. You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply.

Beyond these providers, we do not share your data with third parties unless the law requires it or you ask us to.

We keep personal data only as long as the purpose requires.

• Enquiries: for as long as needed to handle them and for up to 24 months after our last exchange, so we can pick the conversation up again. If a project follows, the correspondence becomes part of the project records and is kept for the retention period Swiss commercial law sets for business documents (10 years).
• Applications: until the recruitment process for the role closes and for up to 6 months afterwards, in case a related question arises. We keep an application on file for longer only if you ask us to.
• Server logs: for a short period set by our hosting provider, then deleted.

The site is served over HTTPS only. Form submissions travel encrypted to our providers and on to mailboxes that only the two co-founders can open. We keep access to the accounts involved limited and protected by strong authentication.

Under the FADP and the GDPR you can, subject to the conditions each law sets:

• obtain confirmation of whether we process your data, and a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed;
• have your data deleted, or its processing restricted;
• receive the data you gave us in a common, machine-readable format, and have it transmitted to another controller where technically feasible;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation;
• withdraw a consent you have given, with effect for the future.

To exercise any of these rights, write to legal@armediasolutions.net. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act. We respond without undue delay and in any case within 30 days.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the data protection authority of the country where you live or work.

We update this policy when the way the site handles data changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes are noted on our Updates page.
